Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 22, 2026
1. Introduction
RoList (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a website and related services that help users discover and submit Roblox games and use daily likes (“Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Services.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information from Roblox (sign-in)
When you choose to sign in with Roblox, you complete sign-in on Roblox’s pages. We then receive identifiers and profile details that Roblox shares for your account (for example, a stable user identifier and basic profile fields, depending on Roblox’s implementation and your settings).
2.2 Information you provide
- Game submissions: titles, descriptions, links or identifiers for Roblox games, tags, and similar metadata you submit through forms.
- Likes: when you use daily like features while signed in with Roblox, we store your Roblox-linked display name (from your sign-in profile, not a name you type on RoList), a timestamp, and which game was liked, as needed to operate anti-abuse limits and display history.
- Communications: if you contact us, we process the content of your message and associated contact details you provide.
2.3 Automatically collected technical data
Like most websites, we and our hosting providers may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, dates/times of requests, and cookies or similar technologies used to maintain sessions and security (including authentication cookies managed by our authentication library). We may also store preferences such as theme or display language in cookies or similar storage where implemented.
2.4 Data from Roblox for directory features
To operate listings, rankings, search, ownership checks, and related features, we query Roblox-hosted services and public-style game APIs for information such as place or game identifiers you provide, titles, thumbnails, concurrent player counts where available, and whether games appear associated with your Roblox account for submission verification. Roblox processes those requests under its own policies.
2.5 Reports
If you report a listing, we collect the report category, any optional details you provide, which listing was reported, your account identifier, and timestamps. We use this information for moderation, safety, and abuse prevention.
2.6 Optional in-game notifications (“connect your game”)
If you list a game, you may turn on features that send like events from RoList to your Roblox game—for example when someone likes your game on the site. Usually you enable this by signing in to RoList with Roblox and approving RoList when Roblox asks; we then store what we need securely so we can deliver those events to your game on your behalf. In some setups an optional server key or signing secret may be used instead or in addition; if you provide them, we store them in encrypted form and use them only to perform the delivery you configure. When a qualifying event occurs, the data we send toward your game may include the liking user’s Roblox user identifier, a display nickname or label, a like identifier, the relevant place or game identifier, and date or time information your game needs to recognize the event. You can turn the feature off or clear saved connection data to stop new delivery attempts. What your game does with messages in Studio is up to you and governed by Roblox’s terms, not by RoList.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services;
- Authenticate users and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Moderate submissions (including review queues for administrators);
- Maintain rankings, listings, search, and like features;
- Operate optional homepage or promotional placement features where offered;
- Operate optional in-game notification features you enable (including sending event data toward Roblox as configured);
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect rights and safety.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
If applicable law requires a “legal basis,” we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract (providing the Services you request), legitimate interests (operating and securing the Services, analytics at a basic level consistent with user expectations), consent where required (for example, certain cookies where mandated), and legal obligation.
5. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Roblox: when you use Roblox sign-in, Roblox processes information under its own policies. We do not control Roblox’s practices. When a listing owner enables in-game notifications, we may send like-related event data through Roblox so it can reach that game as configured; Roblox and the game owner’s scripts then process that data under their own terms.
- Service providers: hosting, database, analytics, or security vendors that process data on our instructions.
- Law enforcement / legal process: where required by applicable law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell your personal information as “sale” is commonly defined.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies as needed for authentication, session management, security, and basic site functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may prevent sign-in or other features from working.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Moderation records, submission history, and security logs may be retained for longer where appropriate.
8. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including additional controls for particularly sensitive fields where implemented (for example optional integration secrets stored in encrypted form). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
If you access the Services from outside the country where our servers or providers are located, your information may be transferred across borders. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) or rely on permitted derogations.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your request.
11. Children
Roblox is used by people of many ages. RoList is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region) to collect personal information directly from them beyond what is reasonably necessary to operate the Services consistent with platform sign-in. If you believe we have collected information from a child in a manner not permitted by law, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Third-party links and games
The Services may link to third-party websites or Roblox games not operated by us. This policy does not apply to those services; review their policies before interacting with them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
14. Contact
You may contact us using the official contact method published on the RoList website (for example, a support email or form), once we make one available.
